The official website for XBlaze Lost: Memories, the sequel to Arc System Works' XBlaze Code: Embryo visual novel, began streaming the second promotional video on Thursday. The video teases, "When the 'girls' guided by fate meet … a new 'story' is set in the motion."
The video introduces the protagonist Watashi (literally, "I") voiced by Ayumi Fujimura, the brilliant magician Imōto ("little sister") voiced by Iori Nomizu, the mysterious Nobody voiced by Nao Tōyama, the doll-like entity (and Code:Embryo character) Es voiced by Mayuka Nomura, the "exceedingly ordinary high school student" (and Code:Embryo protagonist) Tōya Kagari voiced by Yukitoshi Kikuchi, the orphan girl Hinata Kizuru voiced by Rei Mochizuki, returning character Mei Amanohokosaka voiced by Inori Minase, returning magic school student Kuon Glamred Stroheim voiced by Yui Kondou, returning character Sōichirō Unomaru voiced by Takahiro Sakurai, the murderous Ripper voiced by Kenichi Suzumura, the amnesiac youth Kiri (voice not yet revealed), and the mascot character Braincat voiced by Sayuri Yahagi.
The video also introduces the mystery-filled blue alternate reality known as the Phantom Field and the "Fragment of Memories" that is the key to the story. Haruka Shimotsuki performs the theme song.
Aksys Games will release the game on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in the West this summer. Aksys describes the story of the "blue memories adventure" game:

Play as the enigmatic pink-haired protagonist as she navigates through a weird and wondrous alternate reality with the help of the mysterious Nobody in order to save her sister, who disappeared into this unknown world! While there she is tasked with finding "Memory Fragments", crystallized memories that not only serve as keys that will help her move on and find her sister, but also uncover the identity and story of the person those memories belong to!Aksys notes that the sequel includes a comprehensive overview of the important events of XBlaze Code: Embryo, so players will not need to play the earlier game first. The sequel combines "2D dungeon exploration with traditional visual novel game" and features both pixelated "chibi" character sprites and regular visual novel designs.
